Possible Future Studies
Comparing different wheel cycle counter amounts to the regulatory T cell count could aid in determining the relationship between the amount of exercise and Treg cell count. Also, the effect of different types of physical activity on different stages of diagnosis could be studied to analyze which type of exercise would prove to be the most beneficial for cancer patients as this study only focused on voluntary wheel running. Utilizing confocal microscopy to collect clearer images of the cells and performing flow cytometry to collect results larger quantities of data to a greater degree of accuracy could prove to be beneficial. Transitioning to mice models may yield results that are more applicable to humans due to their immune system being more compatible than rats.
